Omar Cunningham - Time Served Wow what an album by Omar Cunningham - Time Served. This album is his fourth album he recorded. All the tracks are penned by himself and Robert Harris Jr. This fifteen track CD should be in your closet. The album starts with  'That's My Jam' and that is defenitly My Jam, what a tune. This tune has a lot 'Gerald Levert' influences. A track that you can play over and over. My favourite of this album.

My Life real southern soul song with those old instruments like organs. Track #4 'Be My Side' is a slowtempo track,  one of the two on this album.'This Old Music' also a track with Geralds influences.

'Ain't Nothing Changed' is slowtempo track with a lot of southern organ sounds. Nice bass and vocals. The midtempo track 'The Right Woman' is a happy sing-a-along r&b song. The melody of 'The Right Woman' is catching as the beautifull voice of Omar and backings. Nice guitar riffs. Favourite track number two. This one is Omar’s favorites, tells of a man finally finding that right lady.

The Downtempo 'Same Soap' is a 'LSG' type of song with those characterize 'Keith Sweat' voices. Favourite track number three. Omar's fine voice blend very smooth over the pumpin bass line of 'Check to Check' 2008 Remix. Previously recorded in 2003. R&B veteran Robert Harris produced it.

The downtempo 'If you want me' is a beautiful track with 'the' perfect guitar licks, slappin' bass and organs. Also a favourite one. The happy 'Could you be' another 'sing-a-long' song from this subleme album. 'The Beauty Shop' is a typical southern tune. Organs,  'Where Would i be' is a downtempo track

In short. Do you like Gerald Levert, southern tunes than you should have this CD.
