Scott Preston of cincygroove.com had the pleasure to sit down with Cincinnati's own Bootsy Collins and talk with him about his numerous musical projects and his restaurant/music museum that he has started with Jeff Ruby. Some of his notable projects he is involved in include a Fallen Soldiers memorial cd that includes Charlie Daniels and George Duke that will help raise funds for a Fallen Soldiers memorial to built here in Cincinnati. Bootsy is also heavily involved in bringing national attention to the history and influence that King Records has had on music.

Radio 6 will be black for one week

From 8 till 12 march the dutch national radio station Radio6 presents the 'The Black List'. During this week you can vote for your favourite soul en jazz records. You can pick from a list that's available or you can bring your own soul and Jazz suggestions. You can win a 'Black Box' with classic soul albums by motivating your vote. Sister Sledge Kicks Off 2014

Soul and Funk Music.com will air a special interview with Sister Sledge on January 1st, New Years Day at 22.00 CET on the webradiostream in a exclusive episode of Back to the Old School. Radio host Jeffrey Williams will meet Joni and Debra and he'll introduce us to a 'new sister' Tanya Tiet, who is singer during the 2013 Sister Sledge world tour. Tanya will collaborate with the new Sister Sledge album which is due for spring 2014. From now on she's a new sister in the family.
