Be thankful for what you got was first recorded by William DeVaughn in 1974. I came across more than 14 other remakes of this song from 1974 till 2007. Remakes are done by various artists like Arthur Lee & Love, Craig Peyton and Portrait . Which version is/are your favorites?

We heard the sad news that David Peaston has died on the 1st of February. Peaston started his career in 1989 with his debut album 'Introducing: David Peaston' on Geffen Rcords. A few years later in 1991 David recorded 'Mixed Emotions' on MCA. He also collaborated with Gladys Knight.
May David Rest in Peace. He shall be missed. 
Donna Summer has died at age 63 after an extended fight with cancer. She was the Queen of Disco in the 70s and 80s. RIP Donna Summer.
