After 8 years of silence he finally recorded a new, his twentieth, album 'Missing You' and for the first time on Peak records.  On this album he collaborate with less and well known artists. Junior Tucker - Jr Tucker Junior Tuckers album was originally released on Geffen records in 1983. This eight track boogie album is produced by Raydio's front man Ray Parker Jr., who also wrote three tracks for it. Track number eight 'Treat Me Right' is written by the duo Michael and Brenda Sutton, know by the dance classic '(grip Your Hips) Don't Let Go Of Me'.

Ray Parker jr and the other mentioned writers duo also played on the piano, guitar and synthesizers. Other well know artists collaborate on this album like Ollie E. Brown (Drums), Eddie 'Bongo' Brown (percussion), Randy Hall (Guitar), Jack Ashford (Tambourine), Melvin 'Wah-Wah' Ragin (of course the guitar).

Tracks to check are 'Take A message (from my body)', 'Too young to fall in love', and the typical sound of Mike and Brenda Sutton's 'Treat Me Right'.

T-groove - Move Your Body

Fantastic new album by T-Groove of modern day disco / boogie flavoured soul, with a definite feel good factor.

Love Committee - Love Committee Love Committee started in 1967 under the name of The Ethics in Philadelphia. The members were Ron Tyson, Joe Freeman, Carl Enlow and Andrew Collins. Al B Sure is back on the scene with a new album 'Honey i'm home' and will be released on june 23.

The album contains 13 brand new 'romancing' tracks. All thirteen tracks are downtempo tracks. Two of them are covers.

The album starts with the single "I love it (Papi Aye Aye Aye)", co-produced by his writing and producing partner Kyle West, is very tuneful, sexy and sounds if he was never been away. Vocals are beautiful, and contains nice analog synth sounds. One of the best tracks. Other great tracks are "Only you" and "4 Life!". "I'm glad" track #3 has also a nice bass line. "All I Wanna do" an urban track with vocoders. Sexy girl on the back! A Favourite one. Two slowtempo tracks "Dedicate My All" and "Bye the Way, By the Way" are assisted by an acoustic guitar. A nice synth sound walks as a melodie line through "Only You!", nice chords and vocals. The track "Whatcha Got?" is very urban, with strange bass line. Another favourite is track #12 "4Life!" the last track "Never Stop Loving You" is too much pop. The two covers are Stings 'Fragile' and Michael Jacksons "Lady in My Life". Pleasantly done with an urban, R&B twist but, for me, it remain covers.

All and all an album for lovers of smooth R&B.

You can listen to it on Hiddenbeach.com.

Tease - Remember The west coast based group Tease released their third album 'Remember' back in 1988 on Epic Records. For the production of this album they hired top producer James Mtume.

Steve Arrington - Pure Thang Dayton, Ohio native Steve Arrington, former lead vocalist/drummer of the Funk Band "SLAVE", as well of his own Steve Arrington's Hall of Fame ensemble, just released his long awaited Urban Contemporary Gospel CD, "Pure Thang" on GOD FACTOR Records.

In the eighties I never had the thoughts that i would do an album review of this Funk Legend when I danced my ass off on 'Feel so Real', and 'Dancin' in the key of life' in the famous dutch discotheque "Cartouch" in Utrecht, The Netherlands.

This Funk Legend still knows how to make "The FUNK". With his Funk background this should be a peace of cake for him, and it is. His vocal sound is not changed and the music is still Arrington'sh.

Almost all tracks on this album are Funk & nothing else but the funk. The first single serviced to radio off "Pure Thang" is entitled "I'm On Fire" the second track on this album. A great choice to start with.

The pumpin bass line on 'Time to Ride' makes this tune very funky and enjoyable to listen too. Another preferable track to listen to is 'Nobody Else', could me the second single.

Other 'Non' Funk songs are soulfull like the instrumentals 'Coolin' and 'Sunrise'. Other tracks are Gospel oriented such as track #6 'song for coretta and rosa', and 'Right there' feat. rev. brian coleman. Even some tracks are jazzy like the slowtempo 'Tunes' accompanied by a piano. 'Soul Food' sounds seventies with that organ it. When the Soul Food hits you what you gonna do?

The title track 'Pure Thang' is another real funk gem, with Sly's guitar work. 'Right On Time' a funky Gospel track contains the typical 'Slave' Bass.

On the uptempo 'Power' Steve sings: 'I got this funky about me, you better know i'm comming through'. Yes Steve your Funk is still comming through. You can buy this album on CDBaby
