David Mensah - Music Is The Food Of Love David Mensah 2nd single from the album “Independent Woman” was written by David and produced by Coptic who’s worldwide hits include "I need a Girl" for Usher and P. Diddy. The new single "Independent Woman" was released on Monday 8th March 2010. "My Day " was the first single from the album "Music is the Food of Love". The single shot straight to No 1 on the Independent UK Music Chart and Global Reverbnation Soul/RnB Chart. Rose to No 10 on Solar Radio and went straight in at No 11 on Starpoint Radio Charts. David has worked alongside and performed with legendary artists such as Jimmy Cliff, Alexander O'Neal, Beverly Knight, Billy Ocean, Sounds of Blackness, Estelle, Raekwon(Wu-Tang Clan), Havoc (Mobb Deep) and Memphis Bleek to name a few. The bulk of the production on David's debut album is from Wayne Brown who has produced records for super stars such as Earth Wind and Fire, George Michael, Lulu and Billy Ocean. There are also contributions from US Billboard Chart topping producer Coptic who rose to global success with records produced with Biggy, P.Diddy, Snoop Dogg, Faith Evans, Bobby Valentino, Trey Songs,, Ludacris and Ice Cube, the list goes on. In addition to the songs that Mensah has written for his debut album, he recorded a song co-written with 3 times Grammy nominee Jonathon Butler, as well as the classic soul cut “Whatever it takes”, co written with Grammy award winning Junior Giscombe and Wayne Brown.
