Taking a famous soul surname for a band tag isn't a bad idea when you put out stuff that certainly complements classily the originator's style. Taking dad, Eddie Levert's O'Jay lead and hitting the harmony trail, young Levert and colleagues get all smooth over some ballads like "(Pop Pop Pop) Goes My Mind", "Kiss And Make Up" and "Start Me Up, Turn You On", and then a touch groovier on "Let's Go Out Tonight" and "Fascination". The album Come And Get Yourself Some by Leon Haywood debuted in 1975. This album reached #21 and was on the chart for a total of 11 weeks.
