Low-D is two people, Daniel Brélaz and Chris Godfrey.
Travelling from Bern to London, Dan met Chris and a firm friendship was formed. A year later they started writing songs together and with the help of musician friends from London they recorded their debut album “You bring the change”.
The album was recorded in the Boogie Back Studio in north London with Ernie McKone on drums Toby Baker on keys and singer Gary Poole. Additional instruments were recorded in Switzerland and the album was brought back to England to be mixed and mastered.
In 2009 the album was finished. Dan and Chris started selling it by hand and via the internet and focused on getting radio airplay. The response from radio stations was almost immediate in Switzerland and the UK, and has continued to be good. The track “You bring the change” made no.5 in the Starpoint Radio chart and featured on the compilation album Soul Unsigned Vol.4. Tracks from the album have also had airplay on Solar Radio and Smooth Fm, and been featured on the Soulchoonz show broadcast internationally.
In Switzerland several tracks from the album continue to receive airplay on Swiss pop radio, DRS 1, DRS 3 and RSR. It was featured as “album of the week” in May on radio BEO, and “album of the month” on Soul Movement in Holland.
Dan and Chris are now looking for management to help take Low-D to a fully professional level.
With a burning desire to make writing and performing their music a full time career, Low-D will be booking gigs, looking for opportunities to tour, support established acts and play festivals. They intend to make the band as big and popular as possible, all around the world.
