Bio

John is a singer, bass player, composer and producer. He has been in a number of bands and been known by many aliases. John started out in the early 1980’s with the Metrovynil Records label where the band was known
as AE 3D, CMO’S’, Robotron 4, X-Ref and had varied success with 12” releases. Then came the first album “Destination Earth” by John Davis & Too Much, which was both written and performed by John Davis in 1984. After this quickly followed his second album later on in 1984 “Shake It “Make It Loose”” where the music and lyric duties were split between Reginald Derrick Hudson and J.D. (Puma) Lewis as John now liked to be known.
In 1985 John teamed up with Eddie Greene to form the band Spank, and they wrote and produced the album “Spank You!” another album that is much
sort after by Davis music lovers.
The end of the 80’s has John involved as one of the “Real Milli Vanilli” singers, this was the scandal that was headline news in the early 90’s when
it was discovered that the two “lead singers” didn’t actually sing any part of the songs that had become hits.
John’s career has seen him play and sing alongside Eric Burden, Robin Beck, Luther Vandross, Babyface, Hubert K., Curt Cress, Sascha and many, many others as well as producing and writing for a number of bands. He has also, and still does thrill the crowds the world over with his great funky music.
