In 1983 Hipnotic released only one single. The first single HIPNOTIC, released in the eighties, is 'Are You Lonely?' on Records.

Hipnotic's "Are You Lonely," recorded in 1983, is a rare funk and boogie classic whose original 12" incarnation commands upwards of $600 or more on collector's sites worldwide. The band includes Lloyd Parks, Bernie Williams and Darnell Gillespie; all original members of Philly soul sensations the Blue Notes (Gillespie is currently the lead singer of Harold Melvin's The Blue Notes). The record was produced and co-written by the legendary Philly soul maestro Allan Felder who has written soulful tracks for the O'Jays, Delfonics and others. Like most Street Level releases, "Are You Lonely," was recorded in Philadelphia, mixed in New York, and originally released in Canada
