The Most Consistant Album By Ray Parker Jr. & Raydio To Come Out Of The 80's. Everyone Knows That Ray Parker Is A Good Musician/songwriter And Is Efficient As A Soulful Crooner. Where He Usually Falls Flat Though Is In Producing A Cohesive Album That's An Intersting Listen From Begining To End. Normally Good For A Few Good Singles, Ray Parker And Raydio Produced An Album That Is Nearly R&b/pop Perfection. "A Woman Needs Love" Is Chocked With Well Written, Produced And Executed Songs. The Title Track Was A Big Hit And The Lead Off Track, But "That Old Song" And "All In The Way You Get Down" Are Just As Catchy. To Funk Things Up Parker Serves Up, "Still In The Groove" And The Even Funkier, "It's Your Night" Featuring Cheryl Lynn On Backing Vocals. "You Can't Fight What You Feel" And "Old Pro" Have Just Enough Life In Them To Keep Them From "filler" Status And "So Into You" Is A Nice Conclusion To A Fine Pleasurable Set. Ray Parker & Raydio May Have Scored Bigger With Other Single Releases, But As A Whole, "A Woman Needs Love" Marks There Best Work Together.
