When We Weren't In The Recording Studios, The PA System Often Would Meet At Kenneth Morris' Midtown Manhattan Apartment.Centrally Located And A Few Blocks From All The Major Record Labels And Studios, It Attracted A Whos Who Of Artist, Singers, Writers, Producers, Musicians Et Al.One Night In May 1980 Before A Local Concert, Rick James Stopped By. While We Were Hanging Out, Leroy Burgess Popped In To Play A New Track Hot Out Of The Studio.Before It Got 30 Seconds Into The Track, Rick Jumped Up And Said, "Thats MINE!"After A Quick Negotiation, Rick Made A Call To Accountant Bert Padell And Said Pick Up Cash And Tickets Tomorrow And I'll Meet You Friday In LA. Two Days Later, Kenny And I Were On A L1011 Headed To Motown.
