David Washington is a multi talented singer, songwriter producer and musician (bass guitarist) who was one of the founding members along with Michael Powell of the legendary Detroit Group Chapter 8. David Washington was also responsible for discovering Anita Baker whom he first heard singing with another local Detroit band “The Osmoses”.
And now he is 'back' with a brand new 7" single 'Games' on Soul Junction Records from the UK with on the flip side the track 'Ready For Your Love'. Both tracks are outstanding. Category one soul tracks. Please have a listen and support David with buying his new single. 
The duo Don Braden and Karl Latham, as band Big Fun(K), recently released their same titled Live album Big Fun(k). The album has been recorded at Cecil's Jazz Club and Restaurant on May 13-14 2009. The album includes ten instrumental jazz funk tracks. Don: The tunes on this album will be played different during other live sessions because our repertoire is still evolving.
Track #1 'High Rise' starts with a slappin' bass guitar followed by the Hammond and Sax. This tune is written on a flight home from the Netherlands where Don often performs. Don, when you are in the Netherlands give me call. The slappin' bass is also starting on the second track 'Deja Vu'. This 8:45 minutes long track which is based on Beyonce's 'Deja Vu' from 2005 is very funky and energetic. Great Hammond and a bass solo at six minutes.
Bosra Sham is a recording studio project, consisting of songs written by Max Dickson and Jamie Thain.
Inspired by a love of chilled out funk and soul, they wrote and recorded Better Days in their home studio in Bristol, UK.
Once the songs were finished, they jioned up with their old friend and muliti intrumentalist Tim Jones. Jones oversaw the final production of the project ar his Green Park Studio's in the beautiful city of Bath where he recently scored a UK number one soul album with One Way legend Alicia Myers (Peace Of Mind).
Hailed as "the next Stevie Wonder" by Ellen DeGeneres, Harlem-via-Georgia soulman Ryan Shaw's debut album, 2008's "This Is Ryan Shaw," earned him a Grammy nomination for Best Traditional R&B Vocal Performance for the song "I Am Your Man." Billboard called him "a massive talent," and he appeared on several national TV shows, including the CBS Early Show, Ellen and Last Call With Carson Daly. Eddie Van Halen was so in love with his voice he invited Ryan to open for Van Halen back in 2008.
Just last week, NPR said "With big-haired U.K. stars like Adele dominating the soul world, Shaw serves up a reminder that there's still room for pure American soul. " Ryan's avowed fans also include John Legend, Joss Stone, and Eddie Van Halen.
