Meli'sa Morgan is an American R&B and soul singer-songwriter, born on December 6, 1964, in Queens, New York. She began her music career as a background vocalist for various artists, including Chaka Khan, Whitney Houston, and Kashif.

In 1985, Morgan released her debut album, "Do Me Baby," which was produced by Kashif and featured the title track, a cover of the Prince song, which became a top-10 R&B hit. The album also included the hit single "Fool's Paradise," which reached number six on the R&B charts. "Do Me Baby" was certified gold by the RIAA and established Morgan as a solo artist.

Morgan's follow-up album, "Good Love," was released in 1987 and produced the hit single "If You Can Do It: I Can Too!" The album also featured the song "Here Comes the Night," which was written by Kashif and became a popular ballad.

In 1990, Morgan released her third album, "Melba Moore/Meli'sa Morgan," a duet album with fellow R&B singer Melba Moore. The album included the hit single "A Little Bit More," which reached number one on the R&B charts.

Morgan's fourth album, "Still in Love with You," was released in 1992 and featured the hit single "Through the Tears," which reached number eight on the R&B charts.

In addition to her successful music career, Morgan has also acted in several films and television shows, including "New York Undercover" and "The Jamie Foxx Show."

Meli'sa Morgan continues to perform and record music today, and her soulful voice and powerful performances have earned her a loyal following of fans.
