Soul And Funk Music Album Reviews

Nathan Watson

UK based Nathan Watson is a young talent in the music industry. Nathan releases his first single on the Strawberry Moon label on September 20th. His single is called "Reach out (you've got a friend)" and this is real soul, with a touch of pop. His voice is catchy and soulful. After 3'29" you want more.

"Reach out" is taken from the forthcoming album "Student of Life" and features Nathan's Band The Sound and is also the result of a collaboration with long time musician, and producer Steve Salvari.

Part of the proceeds from the new single will be going to Childline Rocks to help other kids less fortunate than himself. Check this single out on Itunes, Amazon and all good music sites.

Sunny Hawkins The CD sampler of Sunny Hawkins 'More of You' also promise a good debut CD for Sunny. 'Love Me Too' is a pleasant track with a high sing along standard. The CD title track 'More Of You' is more a rough song than 'Love Me Too'. It contains some heavy guitar licks. 'What A Man' is gospel/pop song the same for 'Crazy'. My preferable track is 'Love Me Too'. Sunny have also a church background. For more info www.hiddenbeach.com

Will Downing - Lust, Love & Lies Lust, Love and Lies (An Audio Novel) set for release on September 14, 2010

Vocalist Will Downing has a tale of love to tell. It may or may not be based on a true story, but it’s one that we’ve all lived through at one time or another. Downing’s version, Lust, Love and Lies (An Audio Novel) – which he fondly calls “an audio soap opera,” complete with intermittent vignettes of intimate conversations that help move the story along

Charlie Wilson - Love Charlie Founder of the Gap Band, Charlie Wilson, just recorded his latest album 'Love, Charlie' on RCA records. He delivers again a superb album with outstanding tracks. This albums consist twelve of these amazing songs. For me this album is definitely the album of year 2013. Listen to the smooth soul tracks 'I still have you', 'Show You', 'ooh Wee', 'Whisper' featuring Keith Sweat. Don't get me wrong but the other tracks are worth listening to.

Charlie on his best. An Album you need in your collection. I have order mine already.
