Paris Ford, aka Pee Wee Ford in the 80s, started his career 1980 on Arthur Baker's record label Streetwise with the tune 'Be My Girl'. In 1981 he was asked by Jacques Fred Petrus to be the bass player for the funk formation 'B B and Q Band'. They had a huge hit with 'On The Beat'. See the album cover for a early picture of Ford the debut album by B B and Q Band.  He also played the bass on most sampled track '7 minutes of funk' by Tyrone Thomas and The Whole Darn Family This track is sampled by: who not ;-)

He toured and played bass for a lot off 80s artist like Rick James, Evelyn 'Champagne' King, New Edition, and Johnny Gill.

He started his own record company Overlord Entertainment Group where he just released his Mega Maxi Single and Dance Anthem 'Chocolate Swirl'. This track features Kyon, DJ-Hype, Sheek Da Freak ans lost but not least 'James Robinson', former lead singer of the funk group 'Change'.

This Single consist of 12 different mixes with or without Rap. The lyrics are inspiring and the music make u dance your ass off.

T Connection - Take It To The Limit

What do I have to say more about the band T-Connection. It's one of the baddest funk bands since 1975. T-Connection are from Nassau Bahama's and is formed by T-Coakley (Theophilus). They had a few hits during the years. Some hits are 'Do what You Wanna Do', 'At Midnight', 'Groove City' and 'Take It To The Limit'. The latter is also the title track of this album that is reissued on CD by Vinyl Masterpiece.

Personal Life - Morning Light The UK based soul group Personal Life have just released their outstanding album Morning Light. On this ten track album you will hear superb songs like the title soulful song 'Morning Light' with Latin influences. My favorite tracks are 'Classy Lady' sounds eighties an have nice strings and bass. 'Give Into The Night' sounds like a Nile Rodgers track because of the guitar riffs. The uptempo 'One Step Closer' full of brass, bass and nice guitar hooks. 'There's A Time For Everything' another great track on this album. You can compare the sound of Personal Life to 'Brand New Heavies' and 'Jamiroquoi'. Check the sound samples and support this group.
