Darnell White and Chuckii Booker A new Smooth Jazz, R&B duo is on the scene. This new duo consist of two old school veterans producer Chuckii Booker and flute player Darnell White.

Darnell composed and wrote a few songs for the Love and Unlimited Orchestra and for Barry White himself. For Barry White's album 'Beware' he wrote the song "tell me who do you love". Darnell about this: i remember writing that song at my sisters house because Barry needed a couple more minutes of a song to complete the album, and i put that one together for him. Barry always loved that song!!

For the Album 'Welcome Aboard (feat. Webster Lewis)' by the Love Unlimited Orchestra Darnell wrote and composed two songs 'Strange' and 'My Fantasies'.

Chuckii is a well known producer, arranger and artist. He recorded two albums 'Chuckii' and Niice 'n Wiild in the late 80s and early 90s.
He was also a member of the group Tease. Chuckii played on their second and third albums, and wrote some songs for the group. Chuckii produced many albums and tracks for artists like Lalah Hathaway, Marva Hicks, Stacye and Kimiko, Chill and many more. And last but not least he produced some tracks for the Maestro Barry White himself. Round 1990 he was hot on the scene.

Chuckii is the nephew of Darnell. Darnell about Chuckii: Chuckii is an amazing producer and composer. Who knows this better than I. I helped raise him. :-)

On 25th May 2010 they already released 'Mr. Marvin' a tribute song to Marvin Gaye, to celebrate his genius. You can find this song on YouTube. Darnell about it: Chuck behind the wheel i feel very comfortable with the songs we are creating. He is such a masterful musician and an all around good nephew.

Behind the scenes they are working on the debut album of Darnell. They have already six songs recorded.

Darnell: The songs, at this point need to be mixed and a little editing. Chuck is a perfectionist :-) Also need to add couple more instruments on some tracks. On the album, we have some smooth jazz, r&b, and one of my favorite songs on the album is a song entitled "Lover Come Back." Chuckii arranged it for me and i wrote it and playing flute. It's his favorite song on the whole album, mine too.

In the end of July Darnell fly to Los Angeles where Chuckii lives to work on the album. An release date is not available at this moment. Sound snippets are on the way. I'll post them when they arrive.

Mr. Marvin sounds already promising.
